We really care about how our product is manufactured. It is important to us, that our product is made in safe and reasonable working conditions and to be as environmentally friendly as possible.
Our manufacturers are Australian owned and operate in Sydney. They believe in, sourcing recyclable fabrics, quality fair trade garments and using bio-degradable packaging to send stock to all of their clients, including us!
One of our core values is sustainability and ethical working environments. We want to leave a beautiful, healthy planet behind for our children and teach them that fair trade and ethically made products are the way of the present and the future in purchasing goods.
Fast fashion companies source garments and products with factories who employ workers and subject them to very poor working conditions, unfair pay rates, child labour and gender inequality. These workers are forced to work in unsafe and unhealthy factories, expected to mass produce products under a tight deadline working all hours to be earning a very small fraction of what these companies charge for a garment. For example, you pay $50 for a garment from a non ethical brand, and that worker who made it, from scratch in an unsafe factory, will earn no more than 60 cents alone for that garment you just paid $50 for. Seems unbelievable doesn't it!? Unfortunately, these companies just want the product for a cheaper rate in a faster time frame and don't fully understand - if at all - what effects this has on their brand and the world.
They are also NOT environmentally conscious and contribute to extremely large amounts of waste and chemicals going into our world's landfill every year! We do not want this! Clothing made from polyester - which is essentially plastic - can take up to 200 years to breakdown! Let's just take a moment to think about how much excess material these non-ethical factories dispose of into landfill every day, and each piece, could take up to 200 years to break down. What kind of world will we be leaving behind for our children and grandchildren with piles of plastics and non bio-degradable fabrics sitting in our earth!? What sort of disease are we risking by not recycling or using bio-degradable products? We need to act now and enforce change.
We don't want to be responsible for poor working conditions, unfair pay rates, child labour and gender inequality.
We don't want to be responsible for contributing extremely large amounts of waste and chemicals going into landfill each year, that destroys the beautiful earth!
We want to be known and recognised as an ethically sourced fashion brand that cares about women and our magnificent earth!
We care, about you and what you wear.
Are you with us?
